INSURANCE

It is important to note that being dentally qualified, Dr Delcanho’s treatment at The Perth Orofacial Pain and TMJ Clinic is NOT covered under Medicare. There is no Medicare rebate available for consultation and treatment at The Perth Orofacial Pain and TMJ Clinic.

However, if you have private health insurance that covers Dental treatment, then a portion of the fee is claimable. The extent of your cover, and $ rebate for each item number is dependent upon the type of Policy/Table that you have with your Health Fund.  Different funds will rebate different amounts to their members.

At request we are happy to provide item numbers for you to check with your Health Fund how much rebate you can expect to receive back, and recommend you do so.

We are often asked if we are a “Preferred Provider” for any of the Health Funds. This entails a contractual agreement with a particular Health Fund and adhering to a negotiated fee schedule with other restrictions. To date, The Perth Orofacial Pain and TMJ Clinic has not entered into financial agreements with any Health Funds as the amounts offered would necessarily compromise the time and level of patient care required in the field of orofacial pain. In fact the Australian Dental Association is strongly urging their members to avoid entering into restrictive agreements with Health Funds. The Perth Orofacial Pain and TMJ Clinic will not compromise patient care.

The Perth Orofacial Pain and TMJ Clinic, will endeavour to help maximise your health insurance rebates

Please note that full payment for all consultations is required on the day and may be paid by cash, cheque, Eftpos or credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express). Due to increasing costs a small fee will be charged for credit card payments.
